CarieScan Warranty

Because even the most reliable of products sometimes develop faults, CarieScan products come with a 12 month warranty.  This will protect you in the event of a failure due to manufacturing or design fault (see below for full terms and conditions of this warranty)

In the event of a problem, please refer to the user manual in the first instance in order to identify and possibly correct the problem.  If you cannot resolve the problem, please contact the retailer from whom the product was purchased, or the CarieScan helpdesk on 01382 598 628.  Troubleshooting details can also be found on our FAQ page on this website.

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The component part or parts of this product, which are not consumable items, are guaranteed against faults caused by defective design or manufacturing for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase.
  2. The component part or parts of this product, which are consumable items, are guaranteed to be free from defects in manufacture until the expiry date marked on the packaging for this product.
  3. Any component part or parts, which become defective in normal use due to faulty materials or workmanship during the relevant periods set out in 1 and 2 above, will be refunded, repaired or replaced in accordance with our refund/repair/replace policy set out in section 8 below.
  4. All costs of despatch, transport, customs and insurance will be at the owner's expense
  5. This guarantee will be null and void if the item has been interfered with in any way by any unauthorised party, or misused in any way.  Damage caused by external sources will not constitute part of this guarantee and is therefore excluded.
  6. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
  7. Where you wish to make a claim under this guarantee you must send the goods which you believe to be defective accompanied by this certificate to the following address: CarieScan Ltd, Prospect Business Centre, The Technology Park, Dundee, DD2 1SW.
  8. When you return goods to us because you claim that the goods are defective, we will examine the returned goods to establish if they are defective.  Any goods that are defective will be refunded, repaired or replaced at our discretion free of charge.  We will notify you of our findings and, where we find that the goods are defective, whether they will be refunded, repaired or replaced via e-mail within a reasonable period of time.  We will usually process any refund, repair or replacement as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 working days of the day that we confirm to you via e-mail that you are entitled to a refund, repair or replacement for the defective Goods.  We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
